CREF Recognizes Two People for Ongoing Support and Service

01/27/2021 8:41 AM

Each year, the Foundation highlights companies or individuals that have shown long-term, continued support for the work of Foundation.  This year, at COMPOST2021 the Foundation recognized two individuals, Scott Subler of ClimeCo and Kevin Tritz of Specialized Environmental Technologies.

Scott Subler was recognized as he is retiring as a long-term Board of Trustees member after many, many years of service to the Foundation.  Over all the years, he has given generously of his time and expertise, including being the chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2014

The next person to receive a special award was given to Kevin Tritz in memoriam. Kevin’s company, Specialized Environmental Technologies, operates the largest compost facility in MN. Kevin supported the work of CREF for over twenty years.  He was elected to the USCC Board in 2000 to 2005 where he served as both the USCC and CREF President during that time. Kevin continued to support the Foundation after he left the USCC Board of Director and was a steadfast supporter of many of the Foundation’s different programs and projects over the years.  Unfortunately, Kevin passed away in 2020.
